Azerbaijan, Baku, Dec. 12/ Trend , K. Zarbaliyeva/ Azerbaijan's military prosecutor says dedovshchina cases are not frequent in military units.
"Dedovshchina cases occur very rarely in Azerbaijan's military units," military prosecutor general Khanlar Valiyev said to reporters.
Videos displaying dedovshchina cases in the Alat military unit of the Defense Ministry and a military unit of Interior Forces were disseminated on websites in Oct-Nov.
Valiyev said measures are being taken to prevent dedovshchina cases. "The Military Prosecutor's Office has filed a suit over dedovshchina cases disseminated on internet. Soldier and as well as officers of these units has been made criminally liable for abuse of authority," Valiyev added
Military prosecutor said it is not right to describe all violations of regulation as a dedovshchina fact. "The contingent in military units is young and there are small violations of regulation," Valiyev said.
