Azerbaijani Club Holds First Transfer

Azerbaijan, Baku, 13 June / Trend News corr. R.Ergun / The Azerbaijani football club Karvan has signed a yearly contract with Tural Narimanov, full-back from the Standard club.

The Yevlakh-based Karavan club, which took the 11th place with 23 scores in 2007, is carrying out vast reforms within the composition of its club. Over 10 players have left the club by the end of season. By the decision of Yunis Huseynov, coach, only four footballers are left behind -Ilham Yadullayev, Aziz Guliyev, Eldr Huseynov and Javid Rahimov. Nariman is the fifth player.

A source from the club said that the coaches are in hurry to transfer foreign footballers. Coaches plan to begin the transfer foreign footballers once the trainings start on 20 June. Trainings will be held in Bolu, Turkey.

Karavan is the first and one football team in Azerbaijan that succeeded in passing the second round of the UEFA Cup.
