ASTANA, Kazakhstan, October 4. Jordanian Al Jazeera Agriculture Company plans to invest in the construction of a poultry farm in Kazakhstan, with an initial stage costing approximately $15 million, Trend reports via the Kazakh Invest JSC.
During a meeting with the Chairman of the Investment Committee of Kazakhstan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Gabidulla Ospankulov, representatives of Al Jazeera Agriculture outlined their plan to establish the production of hatching eggs in the country.
The first phase involves importing brood hens from Europe, with plans to involve local suppliers for feed production in the future. Ospankulov assured the company of full support from the Investment Committee and KAZAKH INVEST throughout the project's implementation.
In addition, Al Jazeera Agriculture representatives visited several regions, including Zhetysu, Turkestan, and Kyzylorda, to locate suitable land for the farm.
The project is expected to boost Kazakhstan’s agro-industrial sector, strengthening local production capabilities and fostering international partnerships.
Al Jazeera Agriculture is a leading fully integrated poultry company in Jordan, licensed to export and sell meat to both Saudi Arabia and the UAE. The company holds approximately 23 percent of the Jordanian market, producing around 60 million kilograms of chicken meat and 100 million hatching eggs annually.
