ASTANA, Kazakhstan, November 19. As part of fulfilling President Tokayev's instructions, individuals in Kazakhstan are exempt from the mandatory declaration of income and property, Trend reports.
Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektanov chaired a government meeting where he discussed the issue of universal income and property declaration by individuals within the framework of tasks outlined by President Tokayev during the first Agricultural Workers Forum.
Finance Minister Madi Takiyev reported that, as of now, 4.8 million people have already joined the universal declaration system as part of the first three stages. This includes civil servants, leaders, and founders of commercial organizations, the quasi-public sector, and their spouses.
Regarding the obligations of approximately 8 million remaining citizens (employees of private entities, retirees, homemakers, students, and others) to submit declarations, the finance minister proposed exempting this category from submitting declarations on assets and liabilities, taking into account the digitization of databases and the development of cashless payments. This exemption would apply to more than 90 percent of individuals in this category.
On November 15, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, during his speech at the first Agricultural Workers Forum, outlined a number of tasks to be achieved in the next year, including the issue of universal income and property declaration by individuals.
