BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 3. Kazakhstan imported non-oil products worth approximately $5.5 million from Azerbaijan in January 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Customs Committee shows that this amount represents an increase of about $2.1 million, or over 63 percent, compared to the same period in 2024.
Meanwhile, non-oil product exports to Kazakhstan accounted for 2.24 percent of Azerbaijan's total exports for the reporting period.
For this timeframe, Kazakhstan ranked as the seventh-largest destination for Azerbaijan's non-oil product exports.
The trade volume between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan totaled $24.7 million in January 2025, marking an increase of $7.2 million, or 41.6 percent, compared to the same period in 2024.
During this month, Azerbaijan exported products worth $5.7 million to Kazakhstan, reflecting a rise of $2.3 million, or 68.5 percent, compared to January 2024.
Additionally, Azerbaijan's imports from Kazakhstan grew by $4.9 million, or 35.1 percent, reaching a total of $19 million.
Meanwhile, in January this year, Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover amounted to $5.9 billion.
According to the information, the figure is $2.1 billion, or 70.5 percent, higher than the same period last year.
Last month, $3.4 billion of trade turnover came from exports and $2.5 billion from imports, which is $1.2 billion or 64.8 percent and $910 million or 79.7 percent more than a year earlier, respectively.
The foreign trade in goods posted a surplus of $986 million during the reporting period, $285 million, or 40.7 percent more than the same period of the previous year.
