BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 18. Two months into the year, Azerbaijan's main gas pipelines carried 7.1 billion cubic meters (bcm) of gas.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Statistical Committee shows that
this metric experienced a contraction of 236 million cubic meters,
equating to a 3.2 percent reduction relative to the corresponding
timeframe of the previous year (7.34 bcm).
Throughout the designated reporting interval, a total of 3.4 bcm of
gas was conveyed through the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum South Caucasus
Pipeline (SCP), reflecting a decrement of 173 million cubic meters,
equating to a 4.8 percent reduction compared to the figures

function in the conveyance of gas from the Shah Deniz reservoir to
the territories of Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Türkiye. Significantly,
the initiation of commercial throughput from the augmented segment
of the pipeline began its operational phase to Türkiye in June
