BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 24. The volume of foreign direct investments of Iran in the Azerbaijani economy amounted to $371.48 million last year.
The data obtained by Trend from the Central Bank of Azerbaijan shows that this figure decreased by $24.49 million, or 6.2 percent, compared to the indicator of 2023.
The share of investments from Iran in the total volume of foreign direct investment in Azerbaijan for the reporting year made up 5.3 percent.
Meanwhile, Iran's foreign direct investments in Azerbaijan amounted to $395.98 million in 2023.
Foreign direct investments in the economy of Azerbaijan in 2024 amounted to $7.04 billion, which is $388.1 million or 5.83 percent more than in 2023. At the same time, the volume of Azerbaijan's foreign direct investment in the reporting year totaled $1.7 billion, which is $1.3 billion or 43.3 percent less than in 2023.
