BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 25. The volume of foreign direct investments of Kyrgyzstan in the Azerbaijani economy amounted to $6.4 million last year.
The data obtained by Trend from the Central Bank of Azerbaijan shows that this figure rose by $4.4 million, or 3.2 times, compared to the indicator of 2023.
The share of investments from Kyrgyzstan in the total volume of foreign direct investment in Azerbaijan for the reporting year made up 0.1 percent.
Meanwhile, Azerbaijan invested $27.1 million in the economy of Kyrgyzstan last year, which is $25.1 million or 13.5 times more than in 2023.
The share of Azerbaijani investments made in Kyrgyzstan amounted to 1.5 percent of the total volume of direct foreign investments.
In 2023, the volume of foreign direct investments from Kyrgyzstan to Azerbaijan and vice versa amounted to nearly $2 million.
Foreign direct investments in the economy of Azerbaijan in 2024 amounted to $7.04 billion, which is $388.1 million or 5.83 percent more than in 2023. At the same time, the volume of Azerbaijan's foreign direct investment in the reporting year totaled $1.7 billion, which is $1.3 billion or 43.3 percent less than in 2023.
