In total, 33,176 vehicles were produced in Kazakhstan in the first quarter of 2025, amounting to over 442.4 billion tenge (approximately $884.8 million).
“These results show the confidence of national manufacturers in the market and the consumer’s increasing preference for quality, safety, and affordability. At the same time, the auto industry is investing not only in the development and modernization of current production facilities but also in launching new capacities. Let me remind you that two modern factories are planned to open in 2025 in Almaty and Kostanay. In addition, auto parts production is actively developing, integrating our country into global supply chains,” said Anar Makasheva, President of the Kazakhstan Automobile Union.
She also emphasized that the industry is facing broad opportunities: for Kazakhstan, it is crucial not to limit itself to car manufacturing at this stage, but to build a sustainable industrial ecosystem. This model should foster the creation of high-productivity jobs, export growth, and a contribution to the national GDP.
The top five most popular locally manufactured brands from January through March 2025 (including exports) were: Hyundai (12,806 units); Chevrolet (7,657 units); Kia (5,609 units); Jetour (2,437 units); Jac (1,696 units).
