ASTANA, Kazakhstan, May 20. KazTransOil's
management and the Chinese company Sino-Pipeline International
(SPI) held talks in Astana and discussed current and prospective
areas of bilateral cooperation, Trend reports.
The CEO (Chairman of the Board) of KazTransOil, Arman Kassenov, and
the CEO of SPI, Jin Qinggo, reviewed the progress of joint
projects, as well as issues related to the operational activities
of KazTransOil JSC.
Following the meeting, the sides signed a protocol to agree on the
scope of work for the operation and maintenance of the
Kenkiyak-Kumkol pipeline, a project of the Kazakhstan-China
Pipeline LLP.
Special attention was given to issues of improving the efficiency
of oil transportation and infrastructure development along the
Kazakhstan-China route. The parties confirmed their interest in
further developing partnership relations based on the principles of
efficiency and mutual benefit.
Sino-Pipeline International (SPI) is a subsidiary of China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) specializing in the operation and management of international oil and gas pipelines. SPI plays a pivotal role in CNPC's global energy infrastructure, overseeing approximately 75 percent of its overseas pipeline mileage and 80 percent of its capacity, making it a leader in the global pipeline industry .
