“The production volumes of Kazakhstan’s automotive enterprises for the first four months of 2025 remain at last year’s level. These indicators confirm the stable and predictable operation of the industry. By the end of this year, with the launch of two new car factories in Almaty and Kostanay, we expect an increase in production volumes due to the expansion of the model range of vehicles that will be localized in Kazakhstan. An important trend is the focus on deepening technological processes: the share of locally produced auto components is steadily increasing,” said Anar Makasheva, President of the Kazakhstan Automobile Union (KAS).
According to KAS, for the first four months of 2025, 24,989 units of equipment were produced in Kostanay (Allur) (-17.3 percent). In Almaty (Hyundai Trans Kazakhstan, Hyundai Trans Almaty), 18,819 (+39.4 percent) passenger and commercial vehicles were produced. In Semei (SemAZ, Daewoo Bus Kazakhstan), 1,111 units of commercial vehicles were produced (-33.9 percent). In the Karaganda region (QazTehna), 476 units of equipment were produced (+15.8 percent).
