BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 11. Iran imported 7,640 tons of goods worth approximately $20.3 million from Tajikistan, during the first three months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through June 21, 2023), Trend reports.
As indicated in the statistics of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA), the imports decreased by 8.07 percent in value, while increasing by 11.5 percent in volume compared to the same period in the last Iranian year.
So, Iran's imports from Tajikistan amounted to 6,850 tons worth $22.1 million in the same period of last year.
Iran mainly imported cotton, silk fabric, various equipment and, etc. from Tajikistan within 3 months.
In the 3rd month of the current Iranian year alone (May 22 through June 21, 2023), Iran imported 2,390 tons of goods worth approximately $6.06 million from Tajikistan.
Overall, Iran imported 9.6 million tons of non-oil products worth $14 billion within the first three months of the current Iranian year.
This is an increase of 5.79 percent in value and 1 percent in volume compared to the same period in the last year.
