A new medical insurance policy with a broader range of services came into force for State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic staff at the Black Sea oil terminal in Georgia from April 2010.
Despite increased insurance fees, the new insurance program has been expanded to included services such as vaccinations against influenza, hepatitis B and C, medical examinations twice a year and dental care. Medical insurance covers a wide network of clinics in Georgia and Azerbaijan.
The terminal has provided employees with health insurance since May 2008.
According to the organization's internal rules, a new employee must undergo a waiting period to receive an insurance policy. The waiting period implies a period of probation under an employment contract lasting from three to six months.
