Azerbaijan's revenues from gas trunkline operations significantly increase

BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 21. The revenues of Azerbaijan's main gas pipelines, including the South Caucasus Pipeline (SCP), amounted to 1.3 billion manat ($764 million) in the first half of 2024, which is 7.8 percent more than the figure for the same period last year, Trend reports.

According to the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan, the losses in the network of main gas pipelines in the first half of 2024 decreased by 37.4 percent, amounting to 23.8 million cubic meters.

The data provided indicates that 20.54 bcm of gas was transported via main gas pipelines in the first half of 2024, which is 1.3 percent more compared to the same period last year. Of this volume, 55.6 percent was transported through the South Caucasus Pipeline.

To note, Azerbaijan's revenues from the activities of gas trunk pipelines, including SCP, amounted to 2.5 billion manat ($1.4 billion) in 2023 (an increase of 8.1 percent), while losses in the network for 2023 increased by 18.2 percent and amounted to 59.8 million cubic meters.
