Azerbaijan, Baku /corr. Trend S.Aliyev / Azerbaijan have begun reimbursing its electricity debts to Iran, said the Vice President of Azerenergy JSC, Marlen Askerov, on 17 July.
The electricity debt of Azerbaijan to Iran equals nearly 400 mln KWt/h. The Iranian electricity is supplied to Nakchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan. Currently 10-15 mln KWt/h electricity is being delivered to Nakchivan. Azerbaijan receives gas from Iran in the winter period when the electricity deficit is observed in the Country and returns it when there is a deficit in Iran.
