By the end of the year, the Ministry of Communications & Information Technologies of Azerbaijan will submit a pack of proposals to the Government regarding the assessment of the state share in the communications enterprises of the country, and the strategic definition for future privatization, Trend reports quoting the Ministry.
Work is carried out in accordance with sections of the plan of measures of the State Program for Information & Communication Technologies Development in Azerbaijan in 2006-2008 (Electron Azerbaijan).
Earlier, essential proposals had been prepared and submitted to the relevant state bodies to upgrade the management structures and improve the privatization process.
The assessment of the financial-economic activities of communications enterprises offered for privatization, definition of the strategy and commencement of the privatization process are planned to begin in 2007-2008.
