ASTANA, Kazakhstan, November 13. With the support of KAZAKH INVEST JSC (Kazakhstan's national company), German WIKA has opened a new production site in Kazakhstan's Atyrau city, Trend reports.

The plant will produce pressure gauges, diaphragm seals and electronic temperature-measuring instruments.

All outputs will be tested and confirmed in accordance with the highest standards in a high-precision calibration laboratory. The oil and gas, energy, chemical, petrochemical, and mining industries in the region will be the primary application segments for the products.

The facility will manufacture goods for Central Asian and Caucasian countries.

The project team developed, constructed, and commissioned the manufacturing lines in merely six months, making it one of the quickest projects completed in WIKA's history. The project cost a million euros.

Trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Germany from January through July 2023 amounted to $2.05 billion, which is 60.7 percent higher than in the same period of the previous year ($1.28 billion).

Exports of Kazakhstan to Germany amounted to $304.5 million from January through July 2023, which is 10.5 percent less than the same period last year.

In turn, imports to Kazakhstan from Germany increased by 86.6 percent and amounted to $1.7 billion.
