ASTANA, Kazakhstan, February 15. Hyundai became the most popular car brand among vehicles sold in Kazakhstan in January 2024, Trend reports.
According to the Kazakhstan Automobile Union, during the above period, 3,120 units of Hyundai passenger cars were sold, which is 39.5 percent more than January 2023.
The sequence of sales was determnied as Kia (1,231 cars sold, which is 28.6 percent less than in January 2023), Chery (1,081 cars sold, an increase of 73.8 percent), Chevrolet (sold 803 cars, a decline of 74.9 percent), and Jac (753 cars sold, an increase of 231.7 percent).
By model, the most sold in 2023 were the Hyundai Tucson (1,536 units), Kia Sportage (705 units), and Chevrolet Cobalt (545 units).
The Kazakhstan Automobile Union includes the Association of Automobile Manufacturers, the Association of Automotive Component Manufacturers, the Association of Public Transport, the Association of Importers, the Association of Dealers, the Association for the Sale of Used Cars, and the Association of Automotive Experts and Auditors (conformity assessment of automotive products).
