Kyrgyzstan reports rise in truck imports

BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, November 29. Kyrgyzstan imported 11,171 trucks worth $102.488 million from January through September 2024, Trend reports.

According to the country's National Statistical Committee, the volume of imports increased by 11 percent compared to 10,064 trucks a year ago, while the value declined by 1.4 percent from $103.950 during the same period in 2023.

Regarding the largest exporters of trucks to Kyrgyzstan, 5,711 were imported from South Korea, valued at $19.763 million; 2,218 trucks worth $8.268 million came from Lithuania; and 1,975 trucks worth $51.926 million were imported from China.

Kyrgyzstan's foreign trade turnover reached $12 billion in the first nine months of 2024, a rise of 8.4 percent compared to the same period in 2023. Exports totaled $2.7 billion, which is a 28.2 percent increase, while imports amounted to $9.2 billion, growing by 3.7 percent year-on-year.
