DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, March 8. A total of 880 cubic meters of lumber were exported from Russia's Kuzbass region to Tajikistan in February 2024, Trend reports.
According to the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision of Russia (Rosselkhoznadzor), 180 cubic meters of lumber were exported to Kyrgyzstan, 110 cubic meters to Uzbekistan, and 15 cubic meters to Kazakhstan.
The total export of lumber from Kuzbass in February amounted to 6,990 cubic meters. China emerged as the primary importer, receiving 5,800 cubic meters.
According to the Statistical Agency under the President of Tajikistan, the country's foreign trade turnover reached $8.328 billion in 2023, which is an increase of 13.9 percent, or $1.019 billion, compared to 2022.
Russia's share in Tajikistan's exports amounted to 5.5 percent, while its imports constituted 26.9 percent of the total.
