DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, May 30. The assets of the microcredit deposit organization FINCA in Tajikistan totaled 394.6 million somoni ($36.758 million) as of March 31, 2024, Trend reports.
According to data from the National Bank of Tajikistan, this figure increased by 1.8 percent compared to 387.3 million somoni ($36.078 million) as of December 31, 2023.
FINCA's liabilities amounted to 342.2 million somoni ($31.877 million), increasing by 2.1 percent from 335.1 million somoni ($31.216 million) at the end of 2023.
Furthermore, the organization's equity capital stood at 52.4 million somoni ($4.881 million) at the end of the first quarter of 2024, rising by 0.3 percent compared to 52.2 million somoni ($4.862 million) at the end of 2023.
To note, March 31, 2024's statistics show the number of credit financial institutions operating in Tajikistan to total 63, which included 14 traditional banks, 1 Islamic bank, 1 non-bank credit organization, 19 microcredit deposit organizations, 3 microcredit organizations, and 25 microcredit funds.
