BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 13. Entrepreneurs from Afghanistan purchased aviation fuel during trading on March 6 at the State Commodity and Raw Material Exchange of Turkmenistan, Trend reports with reference to the Turkmen media.
Businessmen from Afghanistan purchased 1,500 tons of aviation fuel on the exchange at a price of $837.75 per ton. The total amount of the transaction was $1.2 million.
At the same time, according to the exchange, on the same day, entrepreneurs from Afghanistan purchased 10,000 tons of portland cement in the amount of $395,200.
Turkmenistan ranks among the world's leading countries in terms of oil and gas reserves. The country pays great attention to the construction of oil and gas processing plants, as well as the export of energy resources to world markets.
The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan was established on July 29, 1994. It is the most important body of state regulation of export-import operations.
