ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, February 27. The Lebap Cement Plant of Turkmenistan, the opening and commissioning of the second stage of which is expected in the near future, will produce high-quality cement of the C-600 type, Trend reports.
According to official data, the cost of the new stage project is 518 million Turkmen manat ($148.27 million), and the Economic Society TurkmenEnjam has been engaged in its construction since 2020.
Furthermore, the new facility is a complex with an area of 37.5 hectares on which 43 buildings and objects will be located.
The annual capacity of the built plant will be 1 million tons of cement, solidifying its position as a key player in the region's construction industry and significantly contributing to the country's infrastructure development.
If the first stage of the plant produced and supplied Portland cement of the C-400 and C-500 brands to consumers, then the production of higher-quality cement of the C-600 brand will be established in the new stage.
At the same time, modern equipment from leading companies in Türkiye, Germany and other European countries will be installed at the plant, and most of the work will be carried out using automated systems.
Meanwhile, the production of building materials in Turkmenistan is a key element of the construction industry, providing the country's construction projects with high-quality and affordable materials.
