The Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Uzbekistan Soltan Pirmuhamedov, who has worked in this position since 1996 as Dean of the Diplomatic Corps, is completing his diplomatic mission in the country, the Turkmen embassy told Trend. Pirmuhamedov visited the Uzbek Foreign Ministry yesterday.
During the meeting, the Foreign Minister noted the productive long term work of the ambassador of friendly Turkmenistan and appreciated his contribution in expanding mutually beneficial Uzbek-Turkmen relations.
Pirmuhamedov, in turn, expressed his appreciation for the favourable conditions created for the success of his mission in Uzbekistan.
Diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan were established in January 1993. Currently, countries are actively cooperating on a wide range of bilateral cooperation. There is regular political dialogue at various levels between them and warm and trusting relationships exist between the two countries' leaders.
