TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, May 22. Uzbekistan produced 361,900 tons of diesel fuel from January through April 2024, Trend reports.
Uzbekistan's Statistics Agency reports a 4.5 percent year-over-year reduction in this statistic (379,200 tons in January–April 2023).
Also, compared to the previous months, April had a 150,800 metric ton rise in diesel fuel production (211,100 tons in January–March 2024).
Meanwhile, the volume of diesel fuel produced by Uzbekneftegaz, a state-owned holding company in Uzbekistan's oil and gas industry, has reached 50,900 tons from January through March 2024.
The company reports an increase of 11,400 tons (128.8 percent) from the projected 39,500 tons.
At the same time, Uzbekistan's Saneg (the largest private oil and gas company) plans to launch a line of oils for passenger cars and commercial vehicles in the second half of 2024.
According to the company, the oils will be produced according to the latest requirements of automobile manufacturers. Saneg intends to sell these products both in the EU and Central Asian markets, including Uzbekistan.
