BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 9. The Esfordi Phosphate Complex in Bafq County, Yazd Province, Iran, has experienced a significant 51 percent growth in phosphate concentrate production during the first four months of the current Iranian year (March 20–July 21, 2024) in comparison to the same period last year, Trend reports via Esfordi Phosphate Complex's press service, Trend reports.
Throughout the course of the four months, the plant managed to generate 28,682 tons of phosphate concentrate.
The complex produced 7,205 tons of phosphate concentrate from June 21 to July 21, 2024, up 10 percent from 6,523 tons in the same month last year.
During the fourth month, phosphate concentrate sales reached 3,575 tons, representing a 75 percent increase compared to the previous year.
Additionally, mineral extraction at the complex hit the roof at 119,247 tons over the four months, showing a whopping 35 percent increase from the same period last year, when the output was a staggering 160,898 tons.
The Esfordi Phosphate Company is one of the complexes operated under the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO) and is located 34 kilometers from Bafq County in Yazd Province.
