BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 23. The export of non-oil products through the Qom province customs office, located in the north of Iran, totaled 163,000 tons worth about $158 million during ten months of the current Iranian year (from March 20, 2024, through January 19, 2025), Director General of the Customs Administration of Iran's Qom Province, Esfandiar Darikvandi told reporters, Trend reports.
He stated that the province has established avenues for the operation of industrial parks focused on the export of non-oil products, with the enhancement of non-oil exports being the main objective. The Qom Province Customs Department has implemented a range of streamlining measures for those involved in economic operations as yet.
Darikvandi noted that provincial customs revenues totaled 18 trillion rials (about $31.2 million) for ten months. This means an increase of 109 percent compared to the same period last year (from March 21, 2023, through January 2024).
To note, as many as seven industrial parks operate in the Iranian Qom province. The industrial parks employ more than 57,000 people in about 2,000 industrial enterprises.
