BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 25. Iran's trade turnover amounted to $77.8 billion during ten months of the current Iranian year (from March 20, 2024, through January 19, 2025), the country's Minister of Economy and Finance Abdolnaser Hemmati wrote on X, Trend reports.
According to him, Iran's trade showed a surplus of $28 billion for ten months by calculating crude oil exports
Hemmati noted that Iran's non-oil exports amounted to $47.8 billion. This is an 18 percent increase compared to the same period last year (from March 21, 2023, through March 2023-20, 2024).
He added that Iran's crude oil exports exceeded $30 billion during the mentioned period.
"Iran imported products worth $56 billion during the ten months. Imports of products increased by 3 percent compared to the same period last year. Moreover, Iran imported gold bars worth $6.2 billion during the mentioned period," he noted.
The Iranian minister added that the negative surplus in Iran's non-oil trade, excluding gold bullion imports, decreased from $12.5 billion to $2 billion.
To note, Iran has been making efforts to increase non-oil trade turnover in recent years.
