BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 7. Customs in Fars Province, located in the southern part of Iran, facilitated the export of non-oil products worth $557 million, totaling 536,000 tons, during the 11 months of the current Iranian year (from March 20, 2024, through February 18, 2025), the head of the Customs Department, Ayoub Zarei, told reporters, Trend reports.
According to him, the main exports during this period included aluminum ingots, steel ingots, ceramics, agricultural products, and more.
Zarei noted that the products were primarily exported to Türkiye, Indonesia, China, Iraq, Pakistan, and Afghanistan.
Additionally, Zarei reported that during the same period, 150,000 tons of goods, valued at $244 million, were imported through the province’s customs. These imports mainly consisted of aluminum powder, red meat, factory equipment, and gold ingots, with countries such as Turkey, India, China, Italy, Germany, and Pakistan being the main suppliers.
As a result, the total trade turnover through Fars Province customs during the eleven months amounted to $801 million, with a total weight of 686,000 tons.
To note, Iran's Customs Administration data shows that the country's total exports of non-oil products amounted to 141 million tons worth $53.4 billion during 11 months. Compared to the same period last year, non-oil exports increased by 19 percent in value and 12.6 percent in weight.
Iran's Customs Administration data shows that Iran imported 35 million tons of products worth $63.6 billion during 11 months. Iran's imports of products rose by 5.6 percent in value and decreased by 2.6 percent in weight compared to the same period last year.
