BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 9. The export of products through Kerman Province’s customs in southeastern Iran rose by 122 percent in value and 12 percent in weight during the 11 months of the current Iranian year (from March 20, 2024, through February 18, 2025) compared to the same period last year (from March 21, 2023, through February 19, 2024), Mohammad Dolati, the head of Provincial Customs Department, told reporters, Trend reports.
Dolati mentioned that Kerman’s customs facilitated the export of products worth $1 billion, amounting to 426,000 tons, during the reporting period.
The official explained that the province’s products were primarily exported to countries such as India, Türkiye, China, the UAE, Pakistan, and Russia. The most significant exports included pistachios worth $736 million, cathode copper worth $62 million, molybdenum oxide worth $48 million, dates worth $32 million, and fruits worth $17 million.
Furthermore, Dolati noted that products valued at $3.2 billion were imported through Kerman’s customs during the eleven months. The major imports included automotive spare parts worth $2.77 billion, road machinery and equipment valued at $125 million, and production plant equipment and spare parts worth $45 million. The main sources of imports were China, the UAE, Belarus, Germany, Oman, Türkiye, Spain, and Italy.
Iran's Customs Administration data shows that the country's total exports of non-oil products amounted to 141 million tons worth $53.4 billion during 11 months. Compared to the same period last year, non-oil exports increased by 19 percent in value and 12.6 percent in weight.
Meanwhile, Iran imported 35 million tons of products worth $63.6 billion during 11 months. While Iran's imports of products rose by 5.6 percent in value and decreased by 2.6 percent in weight compared to the same period last year.
