BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 9. Product exports
through the customs office of Lorestan Province in western Iran
increased by 22 percent in value and 42 percent in weight in the
first two months of the current Iranian year (from March 21 through
May 21, 2025) compared to the same period last year (from March 20
through May 20, 2024), Hassan Hosseini, the province's customs
office director, told reporters, Trend reports.
Hosseini stated that a total of $22 million worth of goods
weighing 28,000 tons were exported through Lorestan Province
customs during the two-month period.
He added that 22 types of products were exported to 12 countries
during this period, with key items including ferrosilicon, light
and heavy hydrocarbons, calcium carbonate, and other goods.
Iran’s Customs Administration data shows that the country
exported 24.6 million tons of non-oil products worth $8.24 billion
in the same period. Compared to the corresponding months of the
previous year, the value of non-oil exports slightly decreased by
0.11 percent, while the volume rose by 4.4 percent.
