Iran to increase production of serum and antibiotics

TEHRAN, Iran, October 29. Iran’s medical sector is expected to increase monthly production of serum to six million units by the end of the current Iranian year (started March 21,2022), said Minister of Cooperative, Labour and Social Welfare Solat Mortazavi, Trend reports citing IRNA.

"Serum and antibiotics will be produced and distributed across the country in the autumn to prevent influenza spread," he said.

Mortazavi pointed out that the state-owned Darou Pakhsh Pharmaceutical Company had a 70-percent growth in pharmaceutical production and can export products abroad as well.

Another subsidiary of the Social Security Organization of Iran - Tamin Pharmaceutical Investment Company (TPICO), accounts for 30 percent of the country’s pharmaceutical production and distribution network.

Iran's Social Securities Investment Company (SHASTA) and TPICO pharmaceutical production has doubled during the first seven months of the current Iranian year.
