BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 5. The export of non-oil products through the customs of Iran's Kurdistan Province, located in the western of the country, amounted to 1.4 million tons worth $756 million during 11 months of the current Iranian year (from March 20, 2024 through February 18, 2025), the controller of customs in Kurdistan Province Faramarz Omidi told reporters, Trend reports.
He said that during 11 months of this Iranian year, 98.2 percent of the product exports via the mentioned province accounted for Iraq, and the remaining part of the products were exported to Afghanistan, Syria, Türkiye, Russia, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan.
The customs official added that in the 11 months, mainly tractors, tomatoes, apples, ice cream, oranges, onions, potatoes, and others were exported through Kurdistan Province customs.
Iran's Customs Administration data shows that the country's total exports of non-oil products amounted to 141 million tons worth $53.4 billion during 11 months. Compared to the same period last year, non-oil exports increased by 19 percent in value and 12.6 percent in weight.
