BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 22. Iran's non-oil exports through the customs of Qom Province, located in the country's central part, grew by 33 percent in value during the first month of the current Iranian year (from March 21 through April 20, 2025) compared to the same period last year (from March 20 through April 19, 2024), Director General of the Customs Administration of Qom Province Esfandiar Darikvandi told reporters, Trend reports.
He mentioned that in the first month of the current Iranian year, non-oil products worth approximately $13.7 million were exported through Qom Province customs.
Besides, Darikvandi said that the volume of the above products amounted to 13,500 tons.
The official also pointed out that the revenue of the provincial customs in the first month amounted to one trillion rials (approximately $1.73 million). This indicates a 170 percent increase compared to the same month last year.
Darikvandi added that special importance will be given to increasing the export of products through the province's customs this year.
To note, in the last Iranian year (from March 20, 2024, through March 20, 2025), 204,000 tons of products worth approximately $201 million were exported through the Qom Province customs. The products were mainly exported to Iraq, the UAE, Afghanistan, Russia, Pakistan, Azerbaijan, China, and Qatar.
