"We put forward several tasks including overcoming this winter. Our energy endures loading well and this is the result of our efforts to rehabilitate the system in previous years," Saakashvili added.
Energy Minister Alexander Khetaguri said that practically all rehabilitation work has been completed. "All companies work for 24 hours. We cooperate with Turkey and Azerbaijan on the energy sphere. We success an agreement on long-period gas supply from Azerbaijan, he said.
President showed interest in setting up of meters in regions.
Minister said that individual meters would be set up in all big cities until the end of October in 2009.
Touching upon the gas supply issue, Economy Minister Lasha Jvania said an agreement was signed with the SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan) envisaging gas supply to 150,000 subscribers within the next three years.
