The Tbilisi City Court has completed the review of a criminal case against Sandro Bregadze, who was charged with third-degree hooliganism, the court told Trend.
The court approved a procedural agreement between Bregadze and a prosecutor under the review of the case based on the accused individual's admission to guilt. Bregadze pleaded guilty and states his sincere regret over his actions.
Bregadze was sentenced to five years probation, with six years improvement. He was fined in the amount of 20,000 lari in addition to the sentence.
Bregadze was released in the courtroom.
In 2010 Bregadze left Konstantin Gamsakhurdia's party "Freedom" and intended to organize a new political union with the former party members, who also left the party. At present Bregadze is not a member of any party.
