The Egyptian authorities will on early Monday start clearing two large protest camps in Cairo of supporters of ousted president Mohammed Morsi, a security source said.
"Ending the sit-ins in Rabaa al-Aadwiya and al-Nahda Square will begin Monday at dawn," the source told dpa.
The date was set at a meeting held Sunday between the interior minister and senior aides, said the source, who spoke on condition of anonymity.
