ASTANA, Kazakhstan, February 20. Kazakhstan is strengthening its economy and achieving growth in industry and exports as part of the roadmap of the AMANAT party, Trend reports.
A meeting of the headquarters for implementing the Roadmap of the Election Program of the AMANAT party for 2023-2027, titled "Khalkhin Birge!” (Together with the people!), was held in the Government of Kazakhstan, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Economy Serik Zhumangarin.
The roadmap consists of 205 activities across 10 areas covering all spheres of economic, social development, and citizens' welfare. As noted by Deputy Minister of National Economy Azamat Amrin, positive dynamics are observed in macroeconomic indicators for 2024. In manufacturing, 180 investment projects worth 1.3 trillion tenge ($2.6 billion) have been implemented, leading to nearly six percent growth in the sector. According to the data for 11 months, the trade turnover amounted to $127.5 billion, with an increase in Kazakhstan’s exports by 2.8 percent ($73.9 billion). Azamat Amrin emphasized that the positive results achieved were partly due to the systematic implementation of the Roadmap.
In terms of social care for citizens, last year salaries were raised by 40 percent for military and medical workers, by 20 percent for cultural and archival workers, by 80 percent for employees of state fish farming enterprises, and by 71 percent for certain categories of civil servants. Basic pension payments and allowances were indexed by 7 percent, and solidarity pensions by 9 percent. The minimum basic pension was increased from 60 percent to 65 percent, and the maximum from 100 percent to 105 percent of the subsistence minimum.
Also during the meeting, it was mentioned that 641 preschool institutions were opened with 78,000 places, and 254 schools were built with 375,000 student places. Modernization of 1,000 schools in small towns, district centers, and villages was completed.To ensure the population has access to quality medical services, 2 stroke centers and 4 coronary intervention centers were opened.
To increase access to quality housing, around 19 million square meters (about 204 million square feet) of housing were commissioned within the fourth direction, “Having your own home and comfortable infrastructure.”
For sustainable economic growth in rural areas, 580 microcredits totaling 6.5 billion tenge ($13 million) were issued under the "Аul amanati " (Village Deposit) project, creating 744 jobs. Under the “Auil – el besigi” (The village is the cradle of the country) program, 1,400 projects worth 200 billion tenge ($400 million) were implemented in 500 rural settlements.
As noted during the meeting, over the past two years, thanks to the joint efforts of the government and members of the “AMANAT” party faction, 143 activities were implemented, significantly impacting social and economic development and improving citizens' welfare. At the same time, some activities were not implemented due to the consequences of last year's floods, budget deficits, and other objective reasons. During the meeting, all unfulfilled activities and ways to implement them were discussed in detail. Summarizing the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister instructed all responsible government agencies to take control of the unfulfilled activities and define ways for their effective resolution.
To note, inflation in Kazakhstan slowed down from 9.8 percent in 2023 to 8.6 percent in 2024. Investment in fixed capital for the 12 months amounted to 19.4 trillion tenge ($38.8 billion), which is 7.5 percent more compared to 2023.
