ASTANA, Kazakhstan, April 14. Kazakhstan's JSC "NC Food Contract Corporation" is set to export 300,000 tons of wheat to North Africa and Morocco, Trend reports.
"JSC 'NC Food Contract Corporation' is selling 3rd and 4th class wheat to international markets. Currently, the national grain operator has secured contracts for the delivery of over 200,000 tons of grain. As part of its strategy to expand its market reach, the company has reached preliminary agreements for grain supplies to Morocco and other North African nations. By the end of the current marketing season, exports to this region could exceed 300,000 tons of food-grade wheat," the company stated.
The national company emphasizes that its export strategy is focused on diversifying sales markets and strengthening its position in overseas markets. The European Union, the MENA region (Middle East and North Africa), and Southeast Asia are top priorities.
The company is also prepared to quickly increase grain supplies to the following regions: through the Azov, Black, and Baltic Sea ports; to Afghanistan, Iran, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Armenia; to Southeast Asian countries.
Shipments are conducted under international trade terms such as FOB, FCA, DAP, and others.
For reference, the Food Corporation allocated 13 billion tenge (approximately $24.7 million) for grain purchases on the market. The planned procurement volume from agricultural producers is 200,000 tons.
