ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, August 11. The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan recorded 11 transactions last week totaling more than $3.3 million, Trend reports via the exchange's press service.
Entrepreneurs from Afghanistan purchased liquefied gas and sodium chloride produced by the Türkmenhimiýa State Corporation. Buyers from Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Türkiye acquired cotton yarn and fabric, cotton fiber, non-distilled crude fatty acids, and cotton waste.
For the domestic market, Turkmen businessmen bought base oil from the Türkmennebit State Corporation worth over $233,000.
The SCRMET serves as Turkmenistan’s main platform for foreign trade in commodities, offering regular auctions for petroleum products, textiles, agricultural goods, and chemical products. It plays a key role in facilitating transparent and competitive trading procedures for both domestic producers and international customers.
