EBRD, Kazakhstan to strengthen cooperation

The President of the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), Thomas Mirow, said that EBRD and Kazakhstan plan to strengthen their cooperation today during the meeting with the President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, Kazakhstan Today reports.

"We plan to continue our cooperation. Kazakhstan has many opportunities for cooperation development," T. Mirow said.

He reminded that yesterday EBRD and Fund of National Welfare Samruk-Kazyna signed the agreement on creation of the joint investment fund Kazakhstan Growth Fund.

"The joint fund has been created and it is a good sign, especially during this uneasy time", N. Nazarbayev noted.

"For the years of cooperation EBRD has invested in Kazakhstan about $5 billion, which made it possible to construct about one hundred objects," the leader of the state emphasized.
