The amount of unemployed people in Turkey went down 2.1 percent in December, 2010 when compared to the same month a year ago and was recorded as 11.4 percent, Anadolu News Agency reported.
In December 2009, the amount of unemployed people was recorded as 13.5 percent.
Unemployment in the non-agricultural sector was recorded as 14.2 percent and unemployment among the youth was recorded as 21.6 percent in December 2010.
The number of employed people in December 2010 went up to 22,665,000 from 21,451,000 a year ago.
