Georgian parliament corrects state budget-2012

The Georgian parliament has today approved a package of changes to the state budget-2012. Before making changes, the bill was finalized. It was expanded compared to a primary variant.

According to the bill, state budget revenues in 2012 will amount to 7.053 billion lari ($ 1 = 1.63 lari), expenditure - 6.782 billion lari, and financial contributions - 0.82 billion lari.

The finished version of the project envisages the reduction in financing the Parliament from 40.127 million lari to 39.127 million lari. Financing the courts will increase from 34.9 million lari to 36.5 million lari. Financing the Finance Ministry is also increased. According to the primary project, it amounted to 0.118 billion lari. This amount reached 0.123 billion lari in the final bill.

Financing the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development is increased by approximately 3 million lari.

The pensions and social aid were also changed. Instead of 1.072 billion lari, previously allocated for the pensions, this amount is now reduced to 1.065 billion lari. Regarding the social aid, it is reduced from 0.273 billion lari to 0.272 billion lari. Financing the health insurance program also increases from 0.168 billion lari to 0.174 billion lari.

Georgian Finance Minister Dmitry Gvindadze submitted the changes to the budget-2012 for approval.
