As comprised to the beginning of 2006, the currency reserves of Azerbaijan that are in the disposal of Azerbaijan National Bank (ANB) have increased by 45.27% and reached $1.397 billion, Trend reports with reference to ANB. Amount of the currency reserves reached $961 million at the beginning of year.
Over January-July, $31.94 mln has been directed from the currency reserves to implement obligations on the main debts and interests of the credits of International Currency Fund. Thus, relative growth of currency reserves amounted to $467.33 mln or 48.6%.
