Renaissance Services has recently added a new, 61-meter emergency recovery and response vessel named the Caspian Protector to its diverse fleet, the company reported.
The Caspian Server will be deployed in Azerbaijan in support of a 10-year, $225 million (Rial 86.5 million) contract with oil major BP, won by Renaissance Services's subsidiary, Topaz Energy and Marine, in 2008.
BP is represented in all major energy projects in Azerbaijan. In particular, the company is the operator of the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli project and technical operator of the Shah Deniz project.
