BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 18. A total of 35,360 tons of oil was transported through trunk oil pipelines in the period from January through November.

The data obtained by Trend from the country's State Statistics Committee informs that 75.9 percent of transportation was carried out through the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) oil pipeline. About 26,831 tons of oil were transported through it from January through November of this year.

In this period, 81.8 percent, or 21,940 tons, of oil transported through the BTC was oil produced in Azerbaijan, and 18.2 percent, or 4,890 tons, was oil coming from Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan.

As much as 36.3 bcm of gas was transported through the main gas pipelines in the period from January through November, which is 0.8 percent more than in the same period last year. 57.2 percent of gas was transported via the South Caucasus pipeline—20.7 bcm.
