BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 17. A total of 3,900 tons of petroleum coke worth $410,000 was exported from Azerbaijan in January this year.

The data obtained by Trend from the country's State Customs Committee shows that this is by $839,000, or 67.2 percent less in value terms, and by 16,600 tons, or 80.9 percent less in volume terms than the figures of 2023, and constitutes 0.01 percent of Azerbaijan's total exports.

Moreover, 47 tons of oil bitumen worth $8,000 were exported from Azerbaijan last year. During the same period last year, no statistical indicator on this product was recorded.

As much as 3.5 million tons of crude oil and oil products from bituminous rocks worth $1.9 billion were exported from Azerbaijan in January this year. This figure in value terms is $1 billion, up 2.2 times, and in volume terms is 2 million tons, 2.4 times more than in the same period last year.

The export of crude oil and petroleum products derived from bituminous rocks amounted to 62.63 percent compared to the export of January 2025.
