Azerbaijan's postal operator Azerpocht LLC will attend the spring session of the Postal Operations Council of the Universal Postal Union (UPU), the Ministry of Communications & Information Technologies of Azerbaijan reported.
The meeting will be held 12-30 April in Bern (Switzerland).
Azerbaijan will be represented at the event by a delegation of officials of the Ministry and Azerpocht.
The session will also discuss proposals from Azerbaijan, left over from previous meetings, the study of which is continuing.
At the same time, as part of the session, will be held a ceremony awarding Azerekspresspocht the Gold Certificate of UPU for Express Mail Service.
As a member of the two high UPU bodies (Administrative Council and Postal Operations Council) during the last Congress of the organization in 2008 in Geneva, Azerbaijan was included in the commissions, project and working groups of these bodies. Republic takes part in all activities, brings its contribution to the overall work and fulfill all challenges and responsibilities assigned to the country.
