In Kyrgyzstan there is the highest price on alcohol in the CIS: decaliter costs $24, or KGS 1, 550, 24.kg reported. The Chairman of the Public Supervisory Council under the State Agency for Control over Production and Turnover of Ethyl Alcohol and Alcoholic Products Tursunbek Kurenkeev reported today at the council meeting.
"For example, in the Ukraine decaliter costs $9, and in some factories - $8.5. In all supermarkets of the Republic are imported products. The State can not influence this," explained he.
He noted that one businessman wants to buy the Kara-Balta distillery. "Nobody tried to prevent it. We suggest that the enterprise must possess the control packet of shares. Producers will be interested in receiving legitimate products from there, income and taxes will be transparent correspondingly," added Tursunbek Kurenkeev.
