BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, September 4. The average nominal monthly wage of employees in enterprises and organizations in Kyrgyzstan (excluding small enterprises) amounted to 31,994 soms ($362) from January through June 2023, which is a 29.1-percent increase year-on-year, Trend reports.
The data from the State Statistical Committee shows that in correlation with consumer price index, the real earnings increased by 14.6 percent.
The highest average nominal wage was recorded in the Issyk-Kul region, at 39,403 soms ($446), followed by Bishkek with 37,873 soms ($429), while the lowest wage was in the Osh region, at 26,627 soms ($301).
The wage of employees in the non-state-funded sectors exceeded the wages of those in state-funded ones by 1.4 times.
The average nominal monthly wage of an employee in Kyrgyzstan (excluding small enterprises) was 26,620 soms ($301) as of the end of 2022, which is a 31.8-percent rise compared to 2021. Additionally, when considering the consumer price index, the real earnings increased by 15.7 percent.
